Vice President of Client Success

  • Location:  Remote / Work From Home (U.S.)

  • Travel:  Approximately 10% for large client meetings and occasional trade shows

  • Compensation:  Strong base salary + monthly commissions/bonuses (range to be finalized)

About the Role

We are hiring a Vice President of Client Success to own the entire client success function and lead the day-to-day team of Client Success Managers. This is an elevated, senior leadership role for a proven operator who can both think strategically and roll up their sleeves.

The VP of Client Success owns all enterprise accounts and is ultimately accountable for client retention, voucher usage, expansion revenue, and overall client satisfaction across the entire book of business. You will run the daily rhythm of the client success team, coach managers to perform at an elite level, personally help to manage our most strategic relationships, and build the systems and playbooks that scale with us.

This is an executive role with a seat at the table to help build the future of Destination Motivation and grow with the company long term.  You’ll be working cross functionally with all departments as you grow current clients as well as helping to scale the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Account Ownership

  • Own all client accounts across the enterprise, with full accountability for retention, voucher usage, expansion revenue, and client satisfaction.

  • Set the strategy for how every account is managed, prioritized, and grown.

  • Personally manage several of our most strategic, high-value client relationships.

Team Leadership, Culture & Daily Operations

  • Hi impact leader who builds and maintains an incredible culture.

  • Run the day-to-day team of Client Success Managers, including daily and weekly performance rhythms.

  • Coach managers on account strategy, growth opportunities, client communication, and problem solving.

  • Provide real-time guidance on client escalations and high-stakes situations.

  • Build a culture of accountability, energy, and ownership across the team.

  • Recruit, hire, and train new Client Success Managers as the team grows.

Account Growth & Strategy

  • Dive deeply into accounts to identify opportunities for growth, reorders, upsells, and renewals.

  • Partner with managers to build strategic account plans and replicate wins across the book.

  • Drive increased voucher usage, engagement, and overall program success across all clients.

Performance & Data Leadership

  • Track and analyze key client success KPIs and build reports that drive performance improvements.

  • Use data to coach the team, spot trends across accounts, and bring proactive solutions.

  • Establish performance benchmarks and hold the team accountable to consistently meeting or exceeding them.

Client Success & Training

  • Lead strategic client meetings, trainings, and business reviews, both online and in person.

  • Help managers deliver high-impact client presentations.

  • Ensure every client fully understands and maximizes the Destination Motivation program.

Operational & Systems Leadership

  • Continuously improve internal client success processes, playbooks, and CRM workflows.

  • Make decisive calls on client strategy, account prioritization, and resource allocation.

  • Resolve complex client issues quickly and confidently without unnecessary escalation.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Proven account management experience — you have personally owned and grown client relationships.

  • High-level leadership experience managing client success, account management, or sales teams.

  • Strong CRM experience and overall tech savvy; comfortable living in the data and the systems.

  • Ability to analyze KPIs, performance metrics, and account data to drive decisions.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with high emotional intelligence.

  • Entrepreneurial, builder mindset with a strong ownership and hustle mentality.

  • Comfortable working remotely while leading a distributed team.

  • Committed to growing with Destination Motivation long term.

Major Plus:

  • Home Improvement / Home Services industry experience is a massive advantage.

  • Hubspot Experience.

  • Strong executive experience and ability to speak with C-suite leaders.

  • Strategic thinker
